Glasgow is the largest retail centre in the UK outside of London and in 1999 celebrated its reign as the UK’s city of Architecture and Design. There is everything from excellent retail therapy, award winning museum and galleries to country parks and gardens. The surrounding towns and villages are also excellent for shopping for unusual gifts and souvenirs.
