Old Sarum Castle This is a great Iron Age Hillfort, it was reused by the Romans, Saxons and Norman's, it then became one of the most flourishing settlements in medieval England. Old Wardour Castle Protected by acres of woodland, the unusual hexagonal ruins of this castle have a peaceful lakeside setting, which masks its bloody past.
