The West Country of England has so much to offer from Bristol, Bath and Exeter cities to the scenic counties of Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. There is little doubt to why this area is considered England's foremost holiday region. The area boasts some dramatic changes of scenery from coastline to beautiful countryside. With 5000 years of heritage there is plenty of history to explore and many other exciting attractions to discover.
The West Country has clearly been a place of magic for millennia, with extraordinary examples of pre-historical monuments and stone circles, which are literally dotted over the landscape of Cornwall to the more renowned circles of Stone Hendge and Avebury.
This area is also home to the mysterious phenomenon of crop circles, particularly Wiltshire, which is renowned as 'the crop circle capital of the world'. For centuries the mysterious annual appearance of crop circles has baffled and still even with scientific involvement little is known about these beautiful designs left in crops. Although the mystery deepens their appeal to people increases attracting visitors from around the world every year who come to marvel at the quality and size of the shapes.
Wherever you go in the West Country you are never far away from the surrounding wildlife, with many nature reserves, most of which are open to the public. Being at the foot of England allows you to take a short journey to experience the beauty of the cost. Cornwall offers some of the best coastline, were you can visit Lands End, the tip of England and Lizards Point, the southerly most point of England
