Shopping in Invernesse
Inverness is a great shopping area with part of it pedestrianised for extra safety and enjoyment in a car free area. Plus there is an indoor shopping center offering great household names and designer shops. There is everything from high street names to unique boutiques, with plenty of shops selling arts crafts and unusual gifts and souvenirs. There is everything on offer in the capital of the Highlands. The whole area has a wide variety of local arts and crafts worth visiting. You can watch the experts work, in fact you will be welcome to drop in to studios and workshops and watch the crafts people at work. Many other of the shops bring together a wide range of highland and Scottish crafts, great to browse through and always a colorful collection of high quality gifts. In Drumnadrochit village there is an excellent small studio and shop, with beautiful and unique glass works, were you can watch the skilled craftsmen work. There are also plenty of places to buy a traditional Scottish kilt in a variety of clansmen Tartan's. Plus quality tartan rug to keep you extra warm in the winter nights, or to picnic in a park on in the lovely summer days.
