One of the largest and finest13 century stone castles in Scotland, Bothwell castle stands just outside Glasgow in Uddingstone, this castle was much fort over during the Wars of Independence. Glasgow itself is home to a magnificent medieval cathedral and is a rare example of a complete pre-Reformation Scottish cathedral.
Glasgow has seen many wars and holds many legends, throughout the ages has also been home too many famous sons. It is not hard to see how a city so rich in history and heritage has shaped this stunning city of today.
