History of Stratford Upon Avon
Stratford-upon-Avon is the Birthplace of the world's most famous playwright. Often named Shakespeare country the town boasts, The Royal Shakespeare Theater, plus magnificent castles, and historical houses. With the town of Warwick situated a short distance away, Warick Castleis a must to visit to delve into the secret life of England. (It is situated Two miles from junction 15 of the M40, and is sign posted fromthere). This impressive fortress has witnessed 10 Centuries of English history, and has survived.
